Victor Gbolade Osibodu
DirectorHe attended Government College, Ibadan a prestigious boys school in 1968. He proceeded to study Pharmacy at the then University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria now (Obafemi Awolowo University). Victor graduated as a pharmacist in 1977.Prior to setting up Vigeo Limited, Victor's career spanned the Nigerian Navy (1978), the Boots Company Ltd (1979-1982) and Bodnat International (1983-1984).
It was in pursuit of his dream of becoming an entrepreneur, that Victor left the services of Bodnat in 1985 to found Vigeo Limited, a multi-service organization covering Marketing, Oil Field Services, Power, Investments and Hospitality sectors. Victor is Chairman/CEO of Vigeo Limited.A keen business strategist, Victor is responsible for corporate strategy and business development of the Vigeo Group. Within the Vigeo Holdings Group He is the Executive Chairman of Global Utilities Management Co.Ltd (a subsidiary of Vigeo), Vigeo Farstard Shipping Company (JV), and Rockwool products Nigeria Ltd, (also a subsidiary of Vigeo).
He serves on the Board of several other companies including Phillips Consulting Limited, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Dorman Long & Amalgamated Engineering Ltd, UTC Nigeria Plc (a conglomerate), Chairman of GTB Assurance Plc and SO & U Saatchi Ltd (a leading advertising agency).
A voluntary mentor, he enjoys volunteering his time to several not-for-profit causes including serving as Country Chairman for Special Olympics Nigeria (affiliated to Special Olympics International,Washington,USA) which promotes sports among the mentally challenged, and the Fate Foundation, an NGO which focuses on promoting business and entrepreneurial development among Nigerian youth. Victor is Vice Chairman of Fate Foundation.He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Faculty of Science of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State.
He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and the Harvard Business School.
