Mr. Balogun is a successful entrepreneur and property developer
with a record of accomplishment of having developed over 134 units
of townhouses in the best parts of Lagos. His career in management
began in 1985 when he managed a pineapple plantation entailing the
cultivation, harvesting, distribution and export of pineapples to
Europe.
In 1988 he ventured into industry, initially producing coir fibre
for sale and export, and ultimately diversifying into the production
and marketing of LOGOMATS – doormats with logos and messages
inscribed. Gbolly ventured into property development in 1992 with
the aim of providing total project management for owners of land
or leaseholders, and introducing home ownership for Nigerians in
the prime residential areas of Lagos by creating vehicles to accommodate
the limited budgets of his target market.
Mr. Balogun is a Director of County Estates Ltd and Co-founder/Director
of Sofitel "The Moorehouse", Lagos and Port-Harcourt. He obtained his
first degree in Economics from Howard University, Washington D.C.,
and a postgraduate degree in Philosophy & History from the University
of Lagos. He is a member of the Washington based Urban Land Institute
and travels frequently to keep up to date on real estate best practices.
